Tugonon is specifically involved in tax information dissemination, tax management and counselling, securing specific tax rulings and opinions, securing tax clearances, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and sale and acquisition of asset. Advised and assisted multinational clients on the legal and tax aspects of their investments in the Philippines. Mentor and supervising attorney to eleven junior associate lawyers doing tax, corporate work and tax related litigation.

Atty. Tugonon currently serves as the President of Tax Association Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP). He’s the Partner & Head of Tax Practice of The Law Firm of Quiason Makalintal Barot Torres Ibarra Sison & Damaso (First partner born after the founding of the Law Firm in 1974). He also serves as the Corporate Secretary of Walls in Motion, Inc., International Elevator and Equipment, Inc., the Philippine subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan; Roxaco-Vanguard Hotel Corporation, joint venture of Roxas Land, Inc. and Vanguard Hotel Pte. Ltd. of Singapore; and Vanguard Hotels (Phils.), Inc.
