In 2016, Israel ranked 37th as the Philippines’ trading partner (out of 226 partners), 36th export market (out of 213 markets) and 36th import supplier (out of 207 suppliers).

Exports to Israel

Philippine Exports to Israel grew by 23.60% from US$ 46.23 million in 2015 to US$ 57.14 million in 2016. This was mainly due to the increase in shipments of the following: a) semiconductor devices manufactured from materials on consignment basis (↑ 151, 016.09%); b) fish fillets, frozen (↑ 54.74%); c) polypropylene, in primary forms (↑ 108.88%); and d) tunas, skipjacks and bonito (sarda spp.), whole or pieces, but not minced, prepared or preserved (↑ 151.14%).

Imports from Israel

Likewise, PH imports from IL expanded by 27.32% from US$103.99 million in 2015 to US$132.40 million in 2016, which could be attributed to the increase in imports of the following: a) materials, accessories and supplies imported on consignment basis for the manufacture of dice of any material (↑48.91%); b) tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, motorized, whether or not fitted with weapons, and parts of such vehicles (↑948.39%); c) other materials, accessories and supplies imported on consignment basis for the manufacture of semiconductor devices (↑17.12%); and d) agricultural or horticultural liquid sprayers using hand pumped compressed air, of any capacity (↑83.98%).
